Destination Wedding Photographer in Europe
Emotional photo + video for multi-day weddings in Spain, Italy, Portugal, France and beyond – especially for Belgian, queer and multicultural couples.
I’m Rocío Vega, a hybrid photographer and videographer based in Spain. I document destination weddings across Europe with a calm, documentary-led approach – focusing on real emotion, atmosphere, and the feeling of being surrounded by your favourite people for an entire weekend, not just one day.
Multi-day storytelling, not just “coverage”
Most of my couples choose a 2–3 day celebration: welcome drinks, the wedding day itself, and a relaxed brunch or beach day afterwards. I’m there across the whole experience, gently present but never intrusive, so your story feels complete – from the first hugs to the last dance in the dark.
For Belgian & International couples
Many of my couples are based in Belgium or the Netherlands and choose to get married in Spain, Mallorca, Portugal, France or Italy. I work in Spanish and English, and I’m used to multi-language, multi-culture families, second marriages and kids running around barefoot at dinner. Your wedding doesn’t have to look “perfect” – it just has to feel like you.
My favourite corners of Europe
European Regions I Photograph Most
I work across some of the most beautiful regions in Europe, specialising in slow, emotional, multi-day wedding weekends. These are the places where my couples choose to celebrate their stories:
- Spain — Mallorca, Mediterranean coastlines, sunset gatherings, intimate seaside celebrations.
- Italy — Tuscany, Florence, Amalfi Coast, Lake Como; villas, vineyards and timeless countryside light.
- France — Provence & South of France; stone villages, lavender fields, romantic slow-summer evenings.
- Portugal — Algarve and countryside estates; ocean air, warm evenings, relaxed coastal elegance.
- Belgium & Netherlands — Where many of my destination couples begin their journey.
Each region offers its own rhythm, light and atmosphere — and my role is to help you tell the story of your days there with honesty, depth and emotion.
Why Multi-Day Weddings Tell the Truest Story
Some celebrations simply can’t be captured in a single day. Multi-day weddings allow your story to unfold naturally — with space to slow down, connect deeply, and be fully present with the people you love. When the schedule breathes, the emotions do too.
From welcome dinners to beach afternoons, from family rituals to late-night dancing, a multi-day wedding becomes a complete tapestry of who you are — not just as a couple, but as a community. These moments often become the most meaningful, honest photographs of all.
1. More Time, More Real Moments
When the rush disappears, genuine emotions appear. Instead of squeezing everything into one timeline, we capture everything that naturally happens in between — the laughter, the quiet glances, the chaos, the joy, the unposed beauty.
2. Your Guests Feel Seen and Included
Multi-day celebrations give space for the people who matter most: your families, your kids, your closest friends. These gatherings create opportunities for warm, candid, unforgettable moments that can’t happen in a tight wedding-day schedule.
3. A Complete Story You’ll Want to Relive Forever
From the start of the weekend to the last goodbye, your wedding becomes a living narrative — not just a single event. The photos and videos feel richer, deeper, more personal. This is how you remember not just how it looked, but how it felt.
Planning a multi-day wedding in Europe?
Spain, France, Italy, Portugal — wherever your story leads, I’m here to tell it with intention and heart.
Hybrid photo + video, so you can feel it again
Some moments are meant to be seen. Others are meant to be heard, felt and remembered in motion. That’s why I work as a hybrid photographer and videographer for destination weddings across Europe — so your photos and films feel like one continuous story, not two separate worlds.
The way your partner laughs when they see you for the first time, the wobble in a voice during a speech, kids running around the pool the day before, the quiet calm of the morning after — movement, voices and tiny gestures become part of the same emotional archive. It’s something you can keep returning to, and that your family can hold onto long after the weekend ends.
Many couples also choose to add a Time Capsule , a unique blend of audio, movement and storytelling designed to preserve the emotional depth of their weekend. It’s a way to revisit not only how everything looked, but how it felt.
Most of my couples choose hybrid coverage for their multi-day wedding weekends in places like Spain, Mallorca, Tuscany, the French Riviera or Portugal. It keeps everything cohesive, calm and intentional — one person, one vision, one story.
A few quick answers
How far in advance should we book you?
+Most couples book between 12 and 6 months ahead. Destination weddings in Europe are often planned on slightly shorter timelines — usually between 6 and 3 months — so if your date is within that window, you’re still perfectly on time.
And if your plans are last-minute, you can still reach out. If I’m available, I’ll gladly help.
Do you travel from Spain?
+Yes. I’m based in Spain and regularly travel for destination weddings across Europe. Travel is organised simply and transparently, so you always know what to expect.
Do you offer photo and video together?
+Yes — but in a way that feels calmer and more intimate than traditional videography. Alongside photography, I offer a signature storytelling format called the Time Capsule.
It blends movement, sound, vows, ambience and emotion in a way that’s far less intrusive than classic video, yet deeply personal. Most couples prefer this hybrid approach because it keeps the experience natural while giving them a complete emotional memory of their weekend.
What’s your approach / presence during the weekend?
+My presence is calm, intuitive and people-focused. I blend in naturally with your guests, observing the connections, emotions and small details that define your story.
I guide when needed, but most of the time I let moments unfold on their own so everything feels honest, unforced and real. Couples often tell me it feels like having a friend with a camera — someone who sees everything without interrupting the flow of the celebration.
How do travel costs work?
+I keep travel simple and transparent: my flights are included in your package, but accommodation and local transport during the weekend are arranged on your side. This is intentional — it allows you (or your planner) to place me where it makes the most sense.
I usually stay with the wedding planner’s team, either at the venue or very close by. Couples have found this to be the easiest and most efficient option: planners can negotiate better rates, logistics stay organised, and we remain close to the action throughout the weekend.
Being nearby means I can also capture the in-between moments — the unexpected, unscripted parts of the weekend that wouldn’t be reachable otherwise. Over time, this has proven to create a smoother experience and better storytelling for the couple.
Do you help us plan the timeline or weekend structure?
+Yes. I help you shape a relaxed, realistic flow that allows the emotional beats to breathe — from welcome dinner to pool day to the wedding itself.
I’ll guide you on light, timing, transitions and pockets of calm so the weekend feels effortless while still giving you the most meaningful images.
How do you build trust with our guests and families?
+I arrive with warmth, curiosity and respect. I learn names, understand dynamics and adapt my presence to the energy of the group.
Very quickly, people stop noticing the camera and begin behaving naturally around me — which is what makes the images feel so intimate and true.
Do you direct or pose people?
+Only when it helps. For most of the weekend, I photograph what unfolds naturally. But during portraits or moments that benefit from gentle direction, I offer simple guidance that still feels authentic.
Nothing stiff, nothing overly staged — just you, in your best light.
What happens if the weather changes?
+Weather shifts are part of destination weddings, and I’m fully prepared for them. I help you adapt the timeline, choose alternative spots and work with the light available.
Some of the most beautiful, emotional images I’ve ever captured were on days with unexpected skies.
Do you photograph the full weekend or just the wedding day?
+Most couples choose full weekend coverage — welcome events, pool days, family moments, the wedding day and the quiet morning after. This captures the complete atmosphere of your celebration.
But if you prefer a single day, that’s possible too. We can talk through what feels right for your story.
If you ever feel unsure about logistics, I’m here to guide you — clarity makes everything calmer.
